Course objectives

The objective of the Master’s Thesis is to develop students’ ability to conduct independent, original, and scientifically grounded research in a specialized area of their academic field. Through the thesis process, students are required to identify the context and research need of the selected topic, conduct a comprehensive and critically oriented literature review, develop an appropriate research methodology, and design and implement data collection and analysis procedures using statistical and other analytical tools.

Furthermore, students are expected to evaluate and interpret the research results, prepare the thesis in accordance with established scientific standards, and present their work clearly, coherently, and with proper documentation.

Upon successful completion of the Master's thesis, students will be able to:

 

  1. a) Deepen their knowledge in a specific scientific field using the knowledge acquired during their studies.
  2. b) Collect reliable and valid data through database searches, field measurements and surveys, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  3. c) Investigate, document, synthesize, and critically analyze scientific information using international literature.
  4. d) Develop and apply methodologies in accordance with sound scientific practice and theory, process and analyze data, and evaluate results.
  5. e) Write scientific texts presenting their research results critically, framing the research question, and highlighting their contribution to the scientific field.
  6. f) Organize and publicly present their research and results within a given timeframe and defend their work during oral examination.

Assessment includes:
• Evaluation of the thesis content following plagiarism check
• Oral presentation and defence of the thesis before a three-member committee in a public session
