Registration requirements

The MSc in Project Management, Transportation and Spatial Planning accepts holders of a first-cycle degree from a domestic or foreign higher education institution, relevant to the subjects of study of the Departments of Spatial Planning, Urban Planning and Regional Development, Civil Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Management and Economics Engineering and other Departments.

Application files must include the following supporting documents and be sent electronically to the e-mail pmtsp-master@uth.gr :

1. Application form for the PMTSP (available on the website).
2. CV
3. Clear photocopy of degree or diploma (with exact grade).
4. Clear photocopy of transcript of records.
5. Clear photocopy of proof of English language proficiency. The level of knowledge of the English language must be at least equivalent to the State Certificate of Language Proficiency Level B2. Holders of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a foreign university in the English language are exempt from this obligation.

Selection Criteria

The selection of candidates for the PMTSP is made by the Postgraduate Student Selection Committee and the list of successful candidates is validated by the Special Interdepartmental Committee. Acceptance is based on the evaluation of the candidate’s file, which takes into account:

1. Degree grade 15%
2. The grade in the courses related to the subject of the Master of Science in Economics and the grade of the diploma thesis (where this is provided for in the first cycle of studies) 15%
3. Level of knowledge of the English language 15%
4. Knowledge of a second foreign language 5%
5. Professional experience 15%
6. Publications in scientific journals 5%
7. Announcements at scientific conferences 5%
8. Participation in research programs 5%
9. Possession of other postgraduate degrees 10%
10. Interview 10%
 
A number of candidates are selected from the applications until the maximum number of students (30 students) of the D.P.M.S. is reached.
 
The tuition fees of the PMTSP amount to a total of €3,000 for both full-time and part-time students.
Students who fall under the provisions of article 86 of Law 4957/2022 are exempt from tuition fees.

The postgraduate studies in the above lead to the award of a Postgraduate Diploma and require the attendance and successful examination of eight (8) courses during the first two academic semesters as well as the preparation and successful examination of the postgraduate thesis in the third academic semester (90 ECTS in total). The possibility of attending the D.P.M.S. under the regime of part-time study is also given, with a minimum duration of five (5) academic semesters.

The program provides modern and specialized knowledge on the design, monitoring and evaluation of transportation projects, the interaction of transportation with the urban fabric and land uses, and the assessment of impacts on the environment and quality of life. Topics covered include the management and operation of transportation infrastructure, transportation safety, the utilization of cutting-edge technologies, the sustainability of passenger and freight transport, the mitigation of negative impacts and the optimization of transportation systems.
